Q. What should I do to prepare the property for the photoshoot?
To ensure a professional and efficient photoshoot experience, it is important that the property is properly cleaned and staged prior to the photoshoot. Follow these home preparation tips to showcase your property in its best light:
- Clean and declutter: Thoroughly clean each room. Clear countertops to highlight kitchen upgrades. Remove and hide all toiletries, bar soaps, shampoos, etc. Make sure beds are made. Hide all non-essential electrical cords.
- Minimize personalization: Remove any unnecessary items, personal belongings, picture frames, and excess furniture to create a spacious and visually appealing environment.
- Let the light in: Open curtains and blinds to maximize natural light. Turn all the lights on.
- Remove pets and pet-related items: While we love our furry friends, it's best to minimize their presence during the photoshoot. If possible, take pets to a different location and remove any pet-related items such as beds, toys, and food bowls.
- Consider staging: If you have vacant rooms or areas that could benefit from additional furnishings, consider professional staging. Staging can help buyers visualize the potential of each space and create a welcoming ambiance.
- Coordinate timing and minimize disruptions: Please refrain from holding an open-house or scheduling any other workers or contractors at the same time as your photoshoot.
- Please communicate any special requests prior to your appointment.
